Some people have a love-hate relationship with PadMapper. On the one hand, they love it because it makes apartment hunting easier and more convenient, but on the other hand, they hate it because it’s so addictive, and users always end up wanting to see more and look at different places. No matter what you’re looking for, whether you want your next place to be in Brooklyn or downtown San Francisco, PadMapper can help you find the perfect apartment to call home!
What it is
We know that apartment hunting is tough. The search can be exhausting, and it’s hard to find out what neighborhoods are like. Plus, there are dozens of sites with property listings, so how do you tell which one is the best for you? We created PadMapper because we wanted an easier way to find an apartment for rent.
How it works
The service works by plotting apartments on a big map and letting you filter for exactly what you want. PadMapper also has unique features like hourly pricing and landlord reviews, but its most useful function is probably the map. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for an apartment in New York City or Chicago–it’s all laid out before you, with detailed descriptions of where it is, who owns it, and how much the rent is per month. You can even explore the neighborhood on Google Street View to get a feel for whether it’ll suit your needs. It’s hard to get lost with PadMapper around.
Why we built it
We’ve all had the experience of trying to find an apartment for rent, and it’s never been easy. We started PadMapper because we were tired of wasting time looking through cluttered, irrelevant listings. Our goal with PadMapper is to make apartment hunting something people no longer dread. It shouldn’t have to be harder than buying a car.
What we did differently
We created a service that makes apartment hunting less awful. It does this by plotting apartments on a big map and letting you filter for exactly what you want. Our goal with PadMapper is to make apartment hunting something people no longer dread. It shouldn’t have to be harder than buying a car.
How can I use it?
In order to use PadMapper, you must first create an account. Then, enter the city where you want to search and what size of the apartment is appropriate for your needs. Next, set the price range and then hit search. PadMapper will then show you a map with all the possible apartments in your chosen location.
How does it differ from other products out there?
Apartments for rent is the app that makes apartment hunting less awful. How? We plot the apartments on a big map and let you filter by anything you can think of: price, neighborhood, number of bedrooms, pets welcome/expected/no. Since PadMapper comes out at a time when it’s nearly impossible to find an apartment in many major cities without standing in line for hours, we work hard to make it a more modern experience for renters that can feel less like digging through haystacks.
If I do go apartment hunting with PadMapper – what should I keep in mind?
So you’ve heard of this new app called PadMapper, and it’s all the rage. Great! You should totally download it and use it to find a new apartment. But before you go downloading any ol’ app, there are a few things you need to keep in mind when looking for a new place:
1) Location is everything. Check out the area where the apartments are located so that you’re aware of what is nearby. Ask friends who live in that area what they think about the neighborhood, too! 2) Price range matters, too! Try not to spend more than 30% of your monthly income on rent, or else this could lead to problems down the line if something goes wrong.
And the most important question of all – how much money am I going to save?
When most people go apartment hunting, they have to spend hours looking at places that are either too expensive or don’t meet their needs. Not only does this suck up a lot of time and make you feel overwhelmed, but the more you look for apartments, the more money it will cost you. One popular broker charges $40 just to get someone on their website. If you need to check three places a day for two weeks (a conservative estimate), that’s $240! But what if there was an app that helped find exactly what you wanted in under ten minutes? And one where it doesn’t cost anything? PadMapper is one such app. With our app, all you have to do is search and explore apartments right from your mobile phone or tablet.
